hi! I am a wheelchair user, any info on accessibility for the venue? I can transfer – how would I get to my seat and where would the chair go?
Oxford Town Hall is an accessible building with lifts and an alternative access avoiding the main entrance steps. For more information, please see their website: https://www.oxfordtownhall.co.uk/about/accessibility/
Hi Anikaluo,
Thanks for replying. Yes I saw on the venue site that it’s wheelchair accessible. What I’m asking about is specifics about tickets and seating – would I need to book a specific accessible spot? Could I transfer into a seat (which is more comfortable for me), and if so, would my chair just stay next to me, or would a steward need to move it for me and bring it back later?
Apologies for the late reply. When reserving your ticket, you’ll be able to make a request regarding accessibility, and we will try our best to accommodate. At the present moment, you should be able to transfer to a seat and keep your wheelchair next to you. However, there is a chance a steward might need to move it to one side and bring it back after the lecture is over. Thank you so much.
